We are thrilled to be partnering with the Green Sports Alliance on a series of upcoming half-day green cleaning workshops for venue operators to be held at major professional sports stadiums across the country. The first Greener Cleaning Workshop will occur on April 13 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, from 9:00 am – 12:45 pm.
The Atlanta Greener Cleaning Workshop program will feature expert presentations, localized case studies and facilitated discussion to explore better practices in greener cleaning and improving indoor venue environments at professional, collegiate, K-12 and community sports facilities.
The event features a behind-the-scenes tour of this magnificent stadium and its ground-breaking green cleaning operations. For facilities operators at schools in the Southeast, this is an excellent opportunity to gather with like-minded facilities operators, learn from the experts in green cleaning and get a rare chance to experience Atlanta Falcon history! Attendees will have inside access to the home of the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia State Panthers, which also hosted the 1996 Olympics and two Superbowls.
The Green Sports Alliance has been using the influence and appeal of sports in America to promote healthy and sustainable communities for the past six years and currently represents more than 300 sports teams and venues from around the world.
As we’ve been speaking with some of the winners of 2015’s Green Cleaning Award, we’re amazed at how big-team schools like Texas Tech, NC State and the University of Tennessee are getting their communities excited about their green cleaning and recycling programs through their active fan bases. This is an exciting opportunity for school facility operators in both the collegiate and K-12 settings to learn how to leverage sports to make school-wide changes.
The Green Sports Alliance will be hosting six more workshops like this throughout 2016, at professional stadiums across the country.
Attendance at the Greener Cleaning Workshop is free, and space is limited. Registration is currently available online.
