	The School Superintendents Association (AASA), founded in 1865, is the professional organization for more than 13,000 educational leaders in the United States and throughout the world. AASA members range from chief executive officers, superintendents and senior level school administrators to cabinet members, professors and aspiring school system leaders.  AASA members advance the goals of public education and champion children’s causes in their districts and nationwide. As school system leaders, AASA members set the pace for academic achievement. They help shape policy, oversee its implementation and represent school districts to the public at large.
	American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME)’s 1.6 million members provide the vital services that make America happen. With members in hundreds of different occupations—from nurses to corrections officers, child care providers to sanitation workers—AFSCME advocates for fairness in the workplace, excellence in public services and prosperity and opportunity for all working families.
	American Federation of Teachers (AFL-CIO) strives to improve the lives of our members and their families, to give voice to their legitimate professional, economic and social aspirations, to strengthen the institutions in which we work, to improve the quality of the services we provide, to bring together all members to assist and support one another and to promote democracy, human rights and freedom in our union, in our nation and throughout the world.
	American School & University (AS&U) Since 1928, AS&U has been the information source for education facilities and business professionals—serving the nation’s K-12 and higher education administrators responsible for the planning, design, construction, retrofit, operations, maintenance and management of education facilities. In addition to the award-winning monthly magazine, the AS&U family of products also includes the “GREEN School & University” monthly e-newsletter.
	Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is a professional organization that provides programs and services to those in school business management.  ASBO promotes the highest standards of school business management practices and provides professional growth opportunities.  ASBO believes in the most effective use of resources in the education of children.
	Children’s Environmental Health Network (CEHN) is a national, multidisciplinary, non-profit organization whose mission is to protect the fetus and the child from environmental hazards and promote a healthy environment by focusing on the areas of research, policy and education. CEHN was the first network of its kind in the world. For more than 17 years, as a part of CEHN’s mission to promote environmental health education, CEHN has successfully assisted diverse communities and organizations in addressing environmental health concerns through effective public awareness and outreach campaigns.
	Coalition for Community Schools is an alliance of national, state and local organizations in education, K–16, youth development, community planning and development, family support, health and human services, government and philanthropy as well as national, state and local community school networks. The Coalition for Community Schools believes that strong communities require strong schools and strong schools require strong communities. The Coalition advances opportunities for the success of children, families and communities by promoting the development of more, and more effective, community schools.
	Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) is the only professional organization whose principal purpose is improving the places where children learn. CEFPI embraces all stakeholders who are interested and committed to building healthy, safe, high-performing school facilities and stronger communities. The Council functions as the convening organization to share knowledge, experiences and best practices of planning, designing, building, renovating and maintaining learning environments that anchor a community and enhance student achievement.
	Education Facilities Clearinghouse The Education Facilities Clearinghouse (EFC) provides a website of best practices and provides technical assistance and training to school divisions on a range of facility topics. The EFC is a program of the George Washington University and the Graduate School of Education and Human Development and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
	Facility Cleaning Decisions is a leading magazine delivering essential information for managers of cleaning operations in K-12 and higher educational facilities, as well as other institutional and commercial organizations. Our editorial coverage directly mirrors subscribers’ challenges. Facility Cleaning Decisions serves as a trusted resource, providing facility cleaning managers with the information and insight they need to successfully direct the day-to-day activities of the front-line staff, all with the goal of ensuring facilities operate in a clean, sustainable and efficient manner.
	International Brotherhood of Teamsters – Public Services Division Founded in 1903, the Teamsters Union represents more than 1.4 million hardworking men and women in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. This includes more than 220,000 public service employees, many of whom transport children to and from schools, provide healthy meals in cafeterias, clean, maintain and repair school buildings and educate the workers of tomorrow.
	International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), a global membership organization comprised of professional facilities maintenance executives, is committed to being a good steward of the environment and hence, is a supporter of the “green” movement. They are proactive in providing education to those directly and indirectly involved in the cleaning industry and encourage a healthier, more productive, sustainable environment that will reduce the many burdens placed upon human health and our natural resources. IEHA, in partnership with the Healthy Schools Campaign, has published a new pocket guide, Clean and Healthy Schools for Dummies.
	ISSA, The Experts on Cleaning and Maintenance is the leading trade association for the institutional and industrial cleaning industry. ISSA’s worldwide membership includes more than 5,500 companies including manufacturers and distributors of cleaning products, in addition to building service contractors and in-house cleaning service providers. ISSA and its membership recognize that environmental preferability is the new mantra of the business community as smart companies across all industry sectors use environmentally based strategies to innovate, create value and build competitive advantage, while minimizing their environmental footprint.
	National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) is a nonprofit membership organization serving authorizers, the entities that select and oversee the nation’s charter schools. Their members also include charter school advocates and organizations.
	National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), founded in 1921, is a professional organization serving over 27,000 elementary and middle school principals. As a national organization, NAESP operates through a network of affiliated associations in every state, the District of Columbia and internationally in many locations such as Canada, Australia, South America and Africa. The Association believes that the progress and well-being of the individual child must be at the forefront of all elementary and middle school planning and operations.
	National Association of School Nurses (NASN) is the primary, indispensable resource for school nursing and school health programs, services, and experiences. With a membership of 14,000 school nurses, NASN’s core purpose is to advance the delivery of professional school health services to promote optimal learning in students.
	National Coalition for Parent Involvement in Education (NCPIE) was founded in 1980 with funding from the Ford Foundation and Union Carbide. From the outset, the participating organizations included parent organizations and advocacy groups as well as national education organizations representing teachers and administrators. The group has been meeting monthly ever since to monitor legislation, initiate projects and share information and ideas about research, programs and policies.
	National Association of State Boards of Education (NASBE) represents state-level boards of education and works to strengthen state leadership in educational policymaking, promote excellence in education for all students, advocate equality of access to educational opportunities and assure continued citizen support for public education. NASBE’s widely used publication “Fit, Healthy, and Ready to Learn: A School Health Policy Guide” includes a chapter published in 2005 on “Policies Concerning Asthma, School Health Services, and Healthy Environments.”
	National Education Association Health Information Network. As the non-profit health and safety division of the National Education Association (NEA), the NEA Health Information Network (NEA HIN) provides health and safety information, programs, and services to NEA’s 3.2 million members throughout the United States and on military bases in Europe and Asia. NEA’s membership is comprised of K-12 teachers, educational support professionals (including bus drivers, paraprofessionals, custodians, food service workers, school nurses and others), higher education professionals, college students preparing to be teachers and retired members. NEA HIN’s mission is to improve the health and safety of the school community by developing and disseminating information and programs that educate and empower school professionals and positively impact the lives of students.
	National Parent Teacher Association (PTA)’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
	National School Plant Management Association (NSPMA), chartered in 1995, was formed in the interest of enhancing and promoting the educational process. Its purpose is to provide for the exchange of information that improves school plant management, maintenance and care through the promotion of acceptable policies, standards and practices and to promote the professional advancement of school plant management personnel. Membership includes school superintendents, maintenance personnel, custodial supervisors, and others employed in school operations.
	Parents for Public Schools (PPS) is a national organization of community-based chapters in 11 states, organizing parents and communities to support public education and improvement of public schools for all children. PPS believes that public education, accessible to all, is essential for building participatory democracy. PPS conducts parent leadership training to enable parent engagement in local schools and parent advocacy for improved public schools.
	Process Cleaning for Healthy Schools (PC4HS) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission of “schools helping schools.” The process optimizes efficiency, cleanliness, ease of deployment and health factors through a carefully designed and documented system tailored for K-12 school districts and higher education. It has been successfully implemented for a decade in more than 100 schools in the Western United States, has been introduced to districts in the Midwest and Southeast United States, and is now available nationally.
	Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is an organization of 2.2 million members united by the belief in the dignity and worth of workers and the services they provide and dedicated to improving the lives of workers and their families and creating a more just and humane society. As health care, public service and property service workers, SEIU members have an opportunity to make a direct contribution to promoting quality green jobs by working with our employers to address climate change and environmental health. We are also committed broadly to work with unions, advocacy groups, elected officials and other allies and organizations around the world to promote a sustainable environment and healthy workplaces and communities.
	School Nutrition Association (SNA) is a national, nonprofit professional organization representing more than 55,000 members who provide high-quality, low-cost meals to students across the country. SNA’s members work tirelessly to improve the nutrition of school children through the meals they offer.
	U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a nonprofit membership organization whose vision is a sustainable built environment within a generation. Its membership includes corporations, builders, universities, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations. Since USGBC’s founding in 1993, the Council has grown to more than 15,500 member companies and organizations, a comprehensive family of LEED® green building certification systems, an expansive educational offering, the industry’s popular Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, and a network of local chapters, affiliates, and organizing groups.
