Learning and Connecting at the Green Schools Conference

Join Healthy Green Schools & Colleges at the 12th annual Green Schools Conference (GSC) in New Orleans, February 27 through March 1, 2023. Sara Porter, Vice President of External Affairs at Healthy Schools Campaign (HSC) and the director of Healthy Green Schools & Colleges, will attend the event.

This conference allows us to explore new ways to make green schools a reality and connect with like-minded organizations and professionals. GSC brings together passionate school champions from across the U.S. to network and share best practices on creating and sustaining green schools.

For the first time this year, attendees will self-select one of four Peer Cohort tracks:

  • Educators and School Leaders
  • School District Capital and Facilities Staff
  • School Design and Construction Professionals
  • Green School Advocates, Government, and Community Partners

These tracks feature curated content and allow attendees to share challenges, workshop solutions, and exchange ideas and strategies with other attendees in similar roles.

This year’s conference will also take full advantage of some of the exciting green buildings and sustainability projects happening in and around New Orleans. Participants can join a tour of the Louisiana Children’s Museum, a LEED Gold and 2022 AIA COTE Top 10 award–winning project. On February 27th, participants can join a green infrastructure tour and outdoor service project before the conference starts for the day.

You can register to attend the event until February 27th.
